Blencowe has 4 Senior Teams in the 2010/11 season

The Sports Hall has 3 courts

Dates and times:

Club Nights: Wednesdays from 8pm-10pm

Match Nights: Wednesdays from 7pm to 10pm

Season: from 1^st Wednesday in September to the Wednesday before Easter

2010/11: Wed 1st September 2010 to Wed 6^th April 2011

Summer Badminton Season (previously run at Penrith Leisure Centre) will run in 2011 at the Newton Rigg Sports Campus and be hosted by the Blencowe Club.

Wednesdays 7pm-9pm from Wednesday 11th May to last Wednesday in August.

All welcome from any club or non-members – fee £5 per night

How to get there?

From junction 40 M6 roundabout, take the A592 (signposted Penrith); go through next 2 roundabouts and at the next roundabout (Morrison’s store on your right) take the 1^st left – B5288 (signposted Greystoke).

After approx 1 mile – turn right for Newton Rigg. Take the 2^nd turning into the Newton Rigg Campus (North entrance). The Sports Hall is the 2^nd Building on the left.

Parking:

1.Turn left, then right for parking for the Sports Hall.

2. Take the 2^nd left before the Sports Hall.

From the parking areas the Sports Hall is accessed from the northern end of the building.

Comments:

Blencowe is a very welcoming club and encourages new members, whatever their ability. We have a range of ability from the A team who were runners up in Division 1, the B team who were runners up in Division 2, C team who were winners of Division 3 and D team who played their first season in Division 3 in 2009/10.

We are recruiting new members for the 2010/2011 season – either as Club Night players and those who may wish to be available for team selection for match play.

There were 31 members last season but we are expecting approximately 27 members this season.
